Emily, Kyann and Kristina were there of course - we needed Kyann to be the life of the party, of course! And she didn't disappoint. The picture of Jed and Kyann was of Jed trying to get Kyann to ride on his feet like she did with Emily, but she changed her mind. Silly girl.
The second picture is of Kyann is explaining to Liz Stout, our upstairs neighbor, something - heaven knows what. But they did share a common interest in crackers. They were so cute to watch interact!
The cracker like things with blue dots were something new Jed and I wanted to try. After receiving them as a gift from our friends Harrie and Dora from Holland (my dad served his mission there), I had to try them. There are hardened biscuits that go well with butter or peanut butter. In Holland, in the event of a birth, the family would have these biscuits with Anise seeds on them in the color of the sex of the baby. In our case, it would be blue of course. For those who aren't familiar with anise, it tastes like black licorice. It is definitely a cultural experience. When Harrie and Dora explained it to us, expecting us to use it within a year's time, we said "Pshaw - right! We hope to have AT LEAST a year before we even worry about children!"
Well, we all know that that didn't work and that God had other plans for His two stubborn children. So here we are!
The last picture is one of gifts that Emily and Kristina brought - our first baby clothes for Grape! They were so cute I CAN NOT wait to try them on him!
